Laser therapy is a safe and painless way to stimulate healing, decrease inflammation and pain through the use of class IV, low level, cold light laser. Laser therapy is used at Petroglyph Animal Hospital to help in the treatment of a variety of conditions including wounds, back pain, muscle pain, and osteoarthritis. Lasers can also be used post-operatively on incisions to speed the healing process. The short duration treatments, usually 3-10 minutes for a single area, are usually readily accepted by our patients. They may feel a slight warmth or tingly sensation that may even become soothing.
