Karen started her career at the BC SPCA Hospital in 1996. After nearly 9 years as a volunteer, she began working at an avian hospital in Vancouver which inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinary technologist. Karen graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2014. Since obtaining her registration she has worked in small animal, exotic, and emergency practices.
In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her faithful companions “Otto” her senior Jack Russell and “Draco” her 18 year old Lovebird.
